The Reel Scene is a New York based service founded by filmmaker/photographer Emon Hassan.
I started The Reel Scene after a period of listening to talented film and theatre actors complain about not having a reel, or not having one strong enough, to get them work. Two reasons: 1) Worked their asses off for a project(s) but never saw footage because film never completed, film is in limbo, or producer ran off to another country. 2) Worked their asses off, finally saw footage, and finding it unusable to be taken seriously by a producer, casting director, or director.
Eventually The Reel Scene branched out to doing acting reel edits, audition scenes, and video portraits/EPKs. All of The Reel Scene productions so far have been shot, directed, edited, and finished by myself, and myself only. Someday when I’m not able to take all the load myself, I’ll hire and delegate. Till then, it’s just me.

- After our free consultation, The Reel Scene will a write one-minute original scene for you in a genre of your choosing. Once the scene is shot, TRS will deliver a professionally produced scene in 7 days. Simple. It can be one scene, or multiple scenes.
- Acting reel edited from selections you’ve picked from your footage. Or you have me pick the best moments.
- Your audition tape/video based on sides, text, or material from an existing source.
- Video portrait or EPK showcasing 1) you as an artist, musician, or band. Or 2) your latest work.
