“Emon Hassan is an innovative, generous, insightful, meticulously detail-oriented, grounded, inspirational director and a true up and coming visionary of the modern film world. I had the pleasure of shooting several audition pieces and the short film “Break” with Emon and in just one day of shooting, I knew I had come across a true talent. He has a vision of exactly what he wants and when he works with you, he does everything in his power to share that vision and make you a part of it. He has a natural way of collaborating without trying to control the process.
He is extremely diligent and disciplined and while on set, there is a never a wasted moment. Every minute of your time is spent on trying to find the best shot or help develop the most truthful performance. He has a way of bringing out the best in the actors he works with by making them feel comfortable in their own skin, encouraging their own unique choices, and offering insight and guidance that contribute to the expression of their highest potential. Emon’s main focus is on the art of storytelling and he has a beautiful one of a kind way of doing it with very little dialogue and by utilizing only that which is essential both in words and human behavior.
It was a breath of fresh air to work with Emon for he is a pioneer of simplicity and truth. I believe the sharpness and clarity of Emon’s craft is just what audiences today are hungry for and I look forward to seeing his career develop and flourish.
