Working with Emon Hassan was an easy and inspiring experience from start to finish. When the idea first came up to make a portrait video highlighting my life and work as an artist, I thought it would be great if I made out with a quick video featuring a little story and a decent recording of one of my songs. I had no idea that what I would end up with would be a beautifully shot 10 minute video that touched on multiple aspects of a musician’s process while featuring a live acoustic performance that could not have been captured better. Emon is a deeply insightful and meticulous filmmaker who works with the people around him with the greatest amount of ease. It was such a joy to invite him into our rehearsal space and eccentric little world for an evening.
Emon knows what he wants to capture and how to do it efficiently in a short period of time. His eye catches rare moments and unique angles that compliment the work at hand. His interview questions are thoughtful and specific to the individual. And his demeanor is warm, professional, and graceful. He enters his projects with an obvious love and respect for art matched by an eagerness to help it shine.
I would recommend Emon Hassan to any artist wanting to work with a highly skilled and deeply talented individual. I, for one, can’t wait to work with him, again!
